Sukharev (1931—2010). At the turn of 1980—90s, he created an integrated school of science called ‘Regionology’, connected with systematic study and discussion of the consistent patterns of harmonious and interrelated development of the regions in a single federative state. The Regionologiya (Regionology) Journal became a platform for promotion and actualization of this school of science.
